Get to know our business development coordinator in the communications management department, Kaitlin Hennessey!
HOW DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN THE INDUSTRY?
I became interested in the industry after I took a Public Relations Campaign course in college. The class required every student to individually create a campaign for an actual client, and my campaign was chosen by the client to be used in their future business endeavors. After that, I knew public relations/communications was a good fit for me.
OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE, WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES OR PASSIONS?
Outside of the office, I love to read. I have a book review page on Instagram and have read 60 books this year so far. I also like to work out, cuddle with my kitten, and spend time with my family.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TIME OF DAY?
My favorite time of the day is the evening. I love that part of the day because the sun is still out, but it gets a bit chilly, and I find it so relaxing. Reading, working out, and eating a solid meal at the end of the day is something I always look forward to!
WHAT IS THE MOST MEANINGFUL PART OF YOUR JOB?
Making good relationships with the clients. I love getting to know each client and assessing their needs and helping them accomplish their goals. It is so rewarding when a client is happy with our work!
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?
I worked as an usher at a local movie theater. It was fun, especially since I got free movie tickets!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN TOWN?
I am new to town, but my favorite restaurants so far are Livery or The Cheesecake Factory!

WHAT’S ONE THING YOU DO EVERY DAY AND CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT?
Two things: My skin care routine. I have a very set morning and nighttime skin routine that I have perfected for the last few years and am very proud of. Without it, my skin (and life honestly) would be a mess! Another thing is I read every day. It helps me calm down after a long day, and it is something I look forward to.
DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE MOVIE OR BOOK?
I am a huge book lover, and while I have lots of favorites, I would say my top favorite book is A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF WORKING AT HIRONS?
The people! All my coworkers and superiors are so supportive. I just know everyone has my back and wants me to succeed.
