Hirons, a full-service Indianapolis-based advertising, public relations, and digital agency, has promoted Deana Haworth to chief operating officer (COO).

INDIANAPOLIS
Haworth, an 18-year veteran of the firm, will lead all aspects of Hirons’ operations and oversee all departments in the agency.
Haworth started as a public relations specialist at Hirons and immediately assumed an upward trajectory as she served in various account leadership roles. She most recently led Hirons’ Communications Management department as senior vice president, director of account services.
“This is a tremendous opportunity, and I look forward to building on Hirons’ 40-year legacy,” said Haworth. “We’ve grown steadily for the past several years and are seeing even greater demand for full-service communications and marketing capabilities.”
One of Haworth’s most recent accomplishments is developing and leading Hirons’ proprietary Rural Reach program, which delivers unique strategies for clients who need to communicate with rural populations around the country. The program was recognized in 2017 by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) when Haworth presented at the International Conference.
Haworth earned PRSA’s Accreditation in Public Relations and has a master’s degree in public relations from Ball State University. She received a bachelor’s in journalism from Franklin College.
Hirons CEO Jim Parham – Haworth’s longtime mentor – says she has firmly established herself as one of the industry’s top PR professionals.
“I could tell Deana was determined from the very beginning,” said Parham. “It took a significant amount of hard work and dedication to become the expert and leader she is today. She is more than deserving of this opportunity, and I look forward to working together closely to guide Hirons toward continued growth and success.”
