Employee Spotlight: Max Wing, Local Organizing Committee, 2026 NCAA® Men’s Final Four®

“The saying goes, ‘In 49 states, it’s just basketball … but this is Indiana.’ From April 3-6, Indianapolis once again stepped into the national spotlight to host the biggest celebration in all of college basketball: the 2026 NCAA Men’s Final Four. Our city welcomed upwards of 70,000 fans for a weekend unlike any other, featuring fan events, tailgates, arts and culture programming, and free concerts on American Legion Mall, all leading to the iconic showdown between college’s best teams at Lucas Oil Stadium. Indy also made history as host to the NCAA DI, DII, DIII and NIT championships all in the same weekend, never before seen in our city.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication of local volunteers and leaders, including Hirons Account Manager, Public Relations Max Wing who proudly served on the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the 2026 NCAA Men’s Final Four.”

HOW DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN THE INDUSTRY?

Tourism and events! During my time at Downtown Indy Alliance, I managed media coordination for a wide range of major events, from local traditions like Circle of Lights and SPARK on the Circle to large-scale national draws including Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour and the Total Solar Eclipse.

OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE, WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES OR PASSIONS?

Hiking America’s National Parks, skiing at Perfect North, and seeing concerts at the HI-FI.

Early mornings in the office with a hot cup of coffee.
