HOW DID YOU BREAK INTO THE INDUSTRY AND LAND YOUR FIRST JOB?
I started my career in marketing & sales for a company that sold commercial laser tag equipment to fun centers, bowling centers and other family entertainment destinations. Fell in love with having fun at work, which, marketing is fun (if you are doing it right).
WHAT PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE INDUSTRY?
Curiosity and Empathy.
OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE, WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES OR PASSIONS?
I am an avid hiker and video game player, so you will find me either in the woods with my family or playing games with friends. My daughter is currently obsessed with Pokémon, so nostalgia to the max.
WHEN AND WHERE DO YOU HAVE YOUR BEST IDEAS?
Sitting in the middle of the woods listening to nature.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TIME OF DAY?
5 a.m. Being up before the world offers quiet time to reflect on what you want to get out of your day.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?
While in high school, my friends and I opened an indoor skatepark on the southside of Indianapolis.
WHAT’S AN ACCOMPLISHMENT YOU’RE PROUD OF, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY?
I was on a dodgeball team that won the recreational league with the local Stonewall Sports organization – the only sports medal I have won in my entire life!

WHAT’S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE VACATION?
For my 30th birthday, I wanted to turn 30 on two continents, so my wife and I spent a few weeks in Europe, woke up on my birthday in Paris, and then flew home in time to have a birthday dinner with the family.
