HOW DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN THE INDUSTRY?

My interest in the industry was sparked during my sophomore year of high school when a personality test for a class project suggested public relations as a potential career path. Curious about this unfamiliar field, I did some research and arranged a job shadowing experience. I was instantly captivated by the blend of strategic thinking and creative expression, which allowed me to engage both sides of my brain.

HOW DID YOU BREAK INTO THE INDUSTRY AND LAND YOUR FIRST JOB?

Hirons is my first full-time job in the industry. Throughout my college career, I heard glowing reviews about the company and visited the office a few times on school trips. After applying, I reached out to a contact at Hirons, which helped me get my foot in the door. Shortly after, I started the interview process and was thrilled to join the team.

OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE, WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES OR PASSIONS?

Outside of the office, I enjoy hiking, reading, watching true crime documentaries, crocheting and spending time with my family.

WHEN AND WHERE DO YOU HAVE YOUR BEST IDEAS?

I find that my best ideas often come to me while I’m driving or taking a walk. The time away from a desk help clear my mind and let my thoughts flow freely.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?

My first job was teaching ballet and jazz dance to three- to five-year-olds at my local dance studio. It was a deeply rewarding experience and my first taste of leadership. I felt honored to be a role model for the young dancers and to guide them in their early dance journey.

WHAT’S AN ACCOMPLISHMENT YOU’RE PROUD OF, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY?

Personally, I’m incredibly proud of completing the Half Dome hike in Yosemite National Park last summer. Tackling the 19-mile trek with over 3,000 feet of elevation gain and navigating the challenging cable section took 12 hours of determination and endurance. Hirons 3 September 2024 2

Professionally, my proudest achievement is completing four internships during college while also maintaining a strong academic record and staying actively involved in extracurriculars. Balancing these commitments was demanding, but it significantly enriched my experience and skill set.

DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN THREE WORDS.

Adaptable. Curious. Organized.

WHAT’S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE VACATION?

My most memorable vacation is our annual trip to Norris Lake in Tennessee with my family and four other families. We’ve been making this trip for nearly 25 years, and it fills a lot of my childhood memories. The tradition of spending time together at the lake has created countless cherished moments over the years.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE MOVIE OR BOOK?

If I had to choose, my favorite movie would be How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. It’s a timeless romantic comedy that never fails to make me laugh, and Matthew McConaughey is a definite bonus! As for books, The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides stands out. Its gripping twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat and made it an absolute page-turner.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF WORKING AT HIRONS?

My favorite part of working at Hirons is the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by everyone here. From the moment I joined, I’ve felt embraced by a team of genuinely kind and supportive colleagues. This nurturing environment has made it easy to learn, grow, and feel confident as I begin my career.
