HOW DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN THE INDUSTRY?

Since I was little, I’ve always loved being an engaging storyteller. That led me to journalism, where I worked for nearly 15 years. Moving to this side of the industry is about new adventures and developing new skills.

WHAT WOULD YOU CONSIDER THE MOST IMPORTANT TOOLS OF THE TRADE?

Critical thinking and clear communication are two of the most vital skills a person can have in this business.

OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE, WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES OR PASSIONS?

I’m a lifelong sports fan, particularly Chicago sports.

WHAT’S AN ACCOMPLISHMENT YOU’RE PROUD OF, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY?

I was recognized by the Indiana Supreme Court for my dedication and trustworthiness in covering Indiana courts.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?

My very first job, when I was just 14 years old, was as a summer swimming instructor at a local high school where I grew up in Chicago.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TIME OF DAY?

I’m definitely a morning person – I always feel most energized early in the day.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN TOWN?

My wife and I love going to Juniper On Main in Carmel.

I visited Liverpool, England to see a Liverpool Football Club match.
