HOW DID YOU BECOME INTERESTED IN THE INDUSTRY?

I initially became interested in the industry because I did some PR and digital media marketing for a non-profit company called The Performing Arts Conservatory. I originally was just having fun and being creative, making flyers and putting together videos. However, I really enjoyed the job and it piqued my interest in the industry.

OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE, WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES OR PASSIONS?

I really enjoy kayaking and swimming! I am a bit of a waterbug!

WHEN AND WHERE DO YOU HAVE YOUR BEST IDEAS?

My best ideas come to me in the mornings! I am usually at a coffee shop, bookstore, or on a walk when they pop into my head. I also love to kayak, and I feel like my best ideas come to me when I am kayaking on the water!

WHAT’S ONE IMPORTANT TIP YOU WOULD SHARE WITH ANYONE LOOKING TO GO INTO THE AGENCY WORLD?

Initially, I was a teacher. So, I was worried about entering a new industry. I would honestly encourage anyone interested in the agency world to first research it and gain some experience by asking people who are already in the industry about what they do and what it’s like. I would also say, don’t wait to be told what to do. Anticipate needs, take initiative, and show you’re someone who can keep up, but also be sure to provide quality.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TIME OF DAY?

My favorite part of the day is either sunrise, because it is so pretty, or 1 p.m. on a Saturday, because the sun is out and it usually feels pretty calm and chill around that time. That is a great time to take a nap, sit outside, or even KAYAK!

WHAT IS THE MOST MEANINGFUL PART OF YOUR JOB?

I honestly love bringing some of the fun to Hirons! I love getting people together for fun and fellowship!

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?

My first job was at a cleaners on 86th and Ditch called Perfect Touch Cleaners. I worked there with my two best friends in High School. We tagged clothes, separated them into bins and provided customer service to their loyal customers.

WHAT’S ONE QUOTE THAT DEFINES YOU?

“Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time.” – Maya Angelou

This quote just encourages me to lead with love for everyone and to always encourage my friends and family to keep giving love a try if it’s something they want!

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN TOWN?

I really love Ambrosia or Sangiovese. HUGE Pasta Girly! FUN FACT: They are sister restaurants!

WHAT’S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE VACATION?

For my 24th birthday, I went to Arizona with a bunch of my friends, and it was SOOOO much fun! My favorite part was being on the lake and traveling through the mountains!
