¿CÓMO TE INTERESÓ EN LA INDUSTRIA?
I have always been fascinated by and interested in social media as a creative outlet and powerful marketing tool. That is what inspired me to pursue a degree in marketing with an interest in digital marketing specifically. My experience in Corporate Communications exposed me to agency work and sparked my interest in understanding the behind-the-scenes processes that enable agencies to deliver consistent, quality content to a range of businesses and organizations.
WHAT PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE INDUSTRY?
An important quality is to be adaptable and willingness to wear a lot of different hats. Staying open to change as the landscape of the industry evolves and trends change is just as important. It is invaluable to also be a team player, willing to step to the plate and collaborate with others.
¿CUÁNDO Y DÓNDE TIENES TUS MEJORES IDEAS?
The white noise and ambiance of coffee shops are where I feel the most creative with fresh ideas.
¿CUÁL ES TU RESTAURANTE FAVORITO EN LA CIUDAD?
My favorite restaurant is Livery. It’s my go-to place for Devour Indy because I love their empanadas and skirt steak.
¿TIENES UNA PELÍCULA O UN LIBRO FAVORITO?
My favorite book is The Gifts of Imperfection. It never fails to instill confidence within myself and inspires me to embrace my story.
WHAT IS THE MOST MEANINGFUL PART OF YOUR JOB?
The most meaningful part of my job, or any job, has been inspiring others. Nothing is more fulfilling than lighting someone else’s fire and seeing them realize their potential whether through campaigns or a conversation. I particularly enjoy helping those coming behind me, offering advice, support and encouragement so they can grow and succeed in their own journeys.
¿CUÁL ES UNA CITA QUE TE DEFINE?
“People will forget what you say and what you do, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” I truly believe in being kind and accepting everyone. I aspire to do great things and make a big impact, but if I haven’t lifted others along the way, I haven’t succeeded.
¿CUÁL ES TU PARTE FAVORITA DE TRABAJAR EN HIRONS?
So far, it’s been the people. I’ve made some amazing connections. I can tell that it fosters an environment where passion meets personal and professional accomplishments and is a space where everyone is valued and invested in.
WHAT’S ONE THING YOU EVERY DAY AND CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT?
Coffee—it’s the best way to start the day.
FUERA DE LA OFICINA, ¿CUÁLES SON ALGUNOS DE TUS HOBBIES O PASIONES?
I am a big coffee drinker and especially enjoy visiting local shops and trying new places that pop up around Indianapolis. Beyond that, I have recently gotten into restoring furniture. When furniture didn’t necessarily fit the “aesthetic”, it was fun to repaint them.
