¿CÓMO TE INTERESÓ EN LA INDUSTRIA?
I always knew I wanted a career where I could be surrounded by creativity. When I started at Indiana University, I learned more about media and realized how many different paths there were in advertising, which inspired me to change my major and fully immerse myself in the industry.
HOW DID YOU BREAK INTO THE INDUSTRY AND LAND YOUR FIRST JOB?
During my summers in college, I worked a couple of marketing internships in insurance and at an automotive shop software company. Those experiences eventually led me to my first agency role as a digital intern at Hirons during my senior year, and I’m really happy I get to continue working here full time in business development.
¿CUÁNDO Y DÓNDE TIENES TUS MEJORES IDEAS?
Usually right before I fall asleep, which unfortunately tends to keep me up a little longer than expected.
¿CUÁL ES TU HORA FAVORITA DEL DÍA?
I love nighttime, when the day’s responsibilities are done and I can watch a movie and fully unwind or hangout with friends and family.
WHAT IS THE MOST MEANINGFUL PART OF YOUR JOB?
The most meaningful part of my job is getting to collaborate with different teams and build relationships with the awesome people around me.
FUERA DE LA OFICINA, ¿CUÁLES SON ALGUNOS DE TUS HOBBIES O PASIONES?
I love listening to music, going to concerts (Everwise is my favorite venue) and I can never turn down a good puzzle, Lego set or craft project.
¿CUÁL FUE SU PRIMER TRABAJO?
My first job was as a hostess at a super cute tapas restaurant in my hometown.
¿CUÁL ES TU RESTAURANTE FAVORITO EN LA CIUDAD?
Bodhi has some of the best Thai food in town, plus the cutest patio.
WHAT’S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE VACATION?
I was fortunate enough to spend a semester abroad in Barcelona, Spain, so it is hard to choose just one. My most memorable experience was visiting northwestern Mallorca. Between the villages, mountains, beaches and wildlife, it was seriously one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. A close second was the Salvador Dalí House-Museum in Catalonia.
WHAT’S ONE THING YOU NEED EVERY DAY AND CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT?
I don’t think a day passes that I don’t have either a Diet Coke or coffee… ideally both.
