Shortly after launching the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP), the state’s signature, consumer-driven health coverage program for low-income Hoosiers, the Indiana Family and Social Service Administration (FSSA) recognized it needed a plan to communicate the benefits of the service. While there were plenty of Hoosiers who could benefit from the program, too few knew it existed.
Considering the significant size of the target audience, Hirons recognized the need for a comprehensive response that included creative, public affairs, media buying and digital services. Many materials were translated into Spanish, Burmese and Haka-Chin languages to ensure the messaging reached non-native English speakers, many of whom were potentially eligible for the services.
Hirons created seven animated videos discussing different aspects of HIP. These videos were uploaded to the FSSA website alongside information about the various HIP program to better educate members, potential enrollees and stakeholders.
