Hirons Account Director Elected Area PRSA President

Hirons Account Director Emily Kibling, APR, has been elected 2019 president of the Hoosier Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). In this role, Kibling will lead the more than 350-member organization and be responsible for ensuring local initiatives align with PRSA’s strategic plan. Ultimately, Kibling will be working with volunteers and the Hoosier Chapter board to further the public relations profession in the state.

The PRSA Hoosier Chapter represents PR professionals from throughout Indiana, including employees of associations, agencies, corporations, universities, nonprofits and government as well as independent practitioners. As one of the largest chapters in the United States, the Hoosier Chapter provides its members with various programs and events along with accreditation training, news and information.

“We see Emily’s presidency as a great opportunity not only for her but also for our staff,” said Jim Parham, CEO of Hirons. “Since Emily has joined our team, we’ve seen a growth in our employee attendance at local chapter events both locally and around the state. We look forward to continuing our support of PRSA.”

Kibling, a graduate of the University of Iowa, joined Hirons earlier this year as account director. With her extensive background in public relations, she provides leadership to Hirons’ PR team and expertise to the agency’s PR, crisis and full-service clients.

“I look forward to serving the PRSA Hoosier Chapter as president and am honored to have been elected by our chapter members,” said Kibling, who has served in numerous leadership roles for the organization. ”I am excited to work hand-in-hand with our large group of dedicated volunteers who share our passion for the profession, and I am confident that we will continue to find new ways to engage members and offer meaningful professional development opportunities.”
