Employee Highlight: Olivia Zingraf

Get to know our account coordinator, Olivia Zingraf.

OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE, WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES OR PASSIONS?
I go to Pure Barre almost every day! I loved going to country concerts pre-pandemic, and I’ve been a country music fan since I was little. I also enjoy baking, watching/attending sporting events (especially basketball!), and reading and traveling. I also have a Westie named Ollie who I love to spoil!

WHAT’S ONE IMPORTANT TIP YOU WOULD SHARE WITH ANYONE LOOKING TO GO INTO THE AGENCY WORLD?
I have two. The first, is know how to be organized or learn what type of organization system works for you. I say this because you’re going to have to know how to juggle between many projects or even clients and having a system that you’ve perfected and one that works for you is going to help you when you join an agency. The culture is also very fast paced. Second, if you know agency life is for you or sounds intriguing, I encourage you to look into internships. Internships can be a good way to see if the lifestyle is something you could pursue full-time. I also think it gives you networking opportunities. The agency world in Indy is very close-knit which can be an asset to you when you begin to look full-time.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TIME OF DAY?
My favorite time of day is at night. I’ve always been a night owl and can usually stay up late without trying. Since graduating from college, I’ve been working on trying to switch that – but right now, coffee has helped get me going in the morning! 😊

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?
My first job was a lifeguard. I wasn’t old enough to drive yet, so I worked at our neighborhood pool so I could bike to work!

WHAT’S AN ACCOMPLISHMENT YOU’RE PROUD OF, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY?
I just started Butler’s Master of Communications program this semester. I love that I get to be a Bulldog again!

WHAT’S ONE QUOTE THAT DEFINES YOU?
“It’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start over.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald

I love this quote because life is a journey. I think it’s an important reminder that your journey isn’t going to be perfect, but there shouldn’t be any societal standard. Life is short; it’s never too late to do what you want to do or be who you want to be.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN TOWN?
My favorite restaurant in town is Bakersfield on Mass Ave. You can never say no to queso.

DESCRIBE YOURSELF IN THREE WORDS.
My three words are determined, loyal and fun.

WHAT’S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE VACATION?
I studied abroad in London for a few weeks for a leadership seminar during my time at Butler. I traveled to Dublin, Galway, Paris, Cinque Terre, Rome and Florence. The trip gave me the travel bug, and I want to go to Greece and Germany next!

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE MOVIE OR BOOK?
My favorite book is Where the Crawdads Sing. I loved the voice that the author used; her tone made it hard to put down.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PART OF WORKING AT HIRONS?
My favorite part about working at Hirons is the people. I love how down-to-earth and sincere every single person I’ve encountered has been. It makes me want to do good work, and they inspire me and challenge me in ways that I appreciate.
