OUTSIDE OF THE OFFICE, WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR HOBBIES OR PASSIONS?

Some of my hobbies including reading, creative writing and watching any competition cooking show on TV.

WHEN AND WHERE DO YOU HAVE YOUR BEST IDEAS?

My best ideas usually come when I least expect them. I will be doing something completely different or I will be out running errands, and I will have an idea prompted by something around me. I have a Notes section in my phone full of just random musings and things I have thought about.

WHAT’S ONE IMPORTANT TIP YOU WOULD SHARE WITH ANYONE LOOKING TO GO INTO THE AGENCY WORLD?

The most important tip I would share with someone looking to go into the agency world is to be flexible. Every day is going to be different, and your original plan for the day could be out the window by 9:15 a.m.

DID YOU HAVE ANY UNUSUAL JOBS BEFORE WORKING AT HIRONS?

The most unusual job I had prior to working at Hirons was during college when I worked at The Disney Store in the Castleton Mall. Working a retail Black Friday is one of the most unusual experiences you can ever have!

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB?

My first job after college was in the integrated marketing and communications department at Valparaiso University in northwest Indiana. In this position, I wrote press releases for the university on numerous topics and assisted with executive communications for the university’s senior leadership.

WHAT’S AN ACCOMPLISHMENT YOU’RE PROUD OF, PERSONALLY OR PROFESSIONALLY?

An accomplishment that I am proud of is all of the work we were able to do while I was working for Butler’s student newspaper, the Butler Collegian. We were able to create institutional change with our reporting on our dining services provider, prompting a search for a new provider during my senior year.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN TOWN?

My favorite restaurant in Indianapolis is either Ale Emporium or Twenty Tap.

WHAT’S YOUR MOST MEMORABLE VACATION?

My most memorable vacation was one I took with my mom during college to Washington D.C. I had never been before, and I was able to visit the Newseum (the First Amendment and journalism museum) when it was still open.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE MOVIE OR BOOK?

My two favorite movies are Say Anything (1989) and Office Space (1999).
