Deana Haworth named 2022 Outstanding Journalism Alumna at Ball State University

COO Deana Haworth was recently recognized as the School of Journalism and Strategic Communication’s Outstanding Journalism Alumna Award recipient at Ball State University. This award is presented to an alumna who has made a positive impact in the communications field through innovation and leadership.

Deana has been a trailblazer in the Indianapolis community for more than 22 years. In her role as chief operating officer, Deana oversees every department of the agency and is the first female to serve in the role in the agency’s 44-year history. Deana guides efforts in public relations and marketing at the local, regional, and national levels. Throughout her career, she has led several initiatives to better the industry in which she serves. One of Deana’s proudest accomplishments is the development of the Rural Reach program, a program created to bridge the marketing gap between urban and rural communities.
