In 2015, the Indiana Attorney General’s Office contacted Hirons in an effort to raise awareness and drive consumers to obtain a credit freeze. Hirons learned that many consumers are vulnerable to identity theft even when they take precautions to protect their information, and the upcoming shopping season was sure to exacerbate the problem. Hirons developed a comprehensive campaign through the holiday season around the theme of thieves literally freezing over while attempting to steal someone’s credit. In addition, interactive tools were added to to allow consumers to protect themselves in other ways from America’s fastest growing crime – identity theft.
